Tigers vs. White Sox could be great battle for division title

The Chicago White Sox have won 6 in a row and are now only 2.5 games back in the AL Central. Can't forget about the Twins, but the White Sox and Tigers might have a really good race for the rest of the season.

They are similar, with really talented but inconsistent starting pitching and nearly identical offensive stats(team batting average: .259 vs. .260) (home runs: 90 vs. 92). They could both easily end up with about 90 wins and it could come down to the final weekend.

Yes, they have a three game series against each other in Detroit to end the regular season in early October. For the Tigers, that follows a 3 game series at home against the Twins, which follows a 3 game series in Chicago. I thought the Tigers might run away with the division, but that seems unlikely because of their inconsistency. I think the same goes for the White Sox. It could be one of the better races in baseball down the stretch.
